The results were good, no sign of any more tumors in his leg or lungs and Choong could see some new bone growing in his left leg in the right places. I tuned out when they started talking about the wobbly bolt, but apparently it is still OK. He said that it's good to see the bone isn't being re-absorbed which can often happen after chemo.
Simon is allowed to increase the weight on his leg to 30% and when we go back in 8 weeks for another chest scan he will be allowed to increase it to 50%. About 3 months after that for the next lot of leg and chest scans it might go to 80-90% weight bearing and he could just use the brace without the crutches. Simon is pretty excited about that and can really notice a difference already with just 30% compared to 10%.
After the 90% weight the next step would be to lose the brace (hooray) and start back at 30%. It was REALLY great news. I had been trying not to think too much about the results, but new that God carried us through last year and would do it again if we needed it.

Scans...
Simon and I went up to Melbourne this morning to have scans done on his leg to check the bone healing and those loose bolts I expect and to scan his lungs to check for tumors. I thought (and sort of hoped) they were going to do all of his body to make sure there were no tumors anywhere, but they know what they're doing I guess!
We will get the results on 28th Jan. I am trying not to think about it too much. Simon is feeling really good and we had a nice day, Daisy and Kitty came so they kept me company for the one and a half hours at the hospital and we had fun together for the rest of the day. Sometimes it all seems so normal. I will write when we get the results.
